Bulgarian Foreign Minister: The absent of Kosovo and Albania at the SEECP Summit is a bad sign

The shortfall of Kosovo and Albania at SEECP Summit in Sarajevo is seen as a bad sign by the Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zakharieva.

Bosnia and Herzegovina's Sarajevo Summit begins with the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), where Bulgaria was represented by the Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ekaterina Zakharieva.

"The cooperation process in South East Europe has become a pragmatic instrument for cooperation, which encourages concrete projects, economic growth and the sustainability of the region," said Zaharieva at the Foreign Ministers of the Process.

She underlined that Bulgaria is ready to support the Western Balkan countries with its own administration experience in using European funds.

"The fact that two of the states are not here - Albania and Kosovo - , is a bad sign. Five countries from the European Union do not recognize Kosovo, 23 other European states recognize and think that we already have the formula under which Kosovo can participate in various international forums, together with states that do not recognize its independence." Added Zakharieva.

After the meeting of foreign ministers will be held the forum of heads of states and prime ministers of SEECP.
