Albanians in New York marching for Chameria in the Albanian Parade

 With the participation of ten thousand people, was held the International March of Emigrants on Saturday 9 June in New York.



This march of recent years is also known as the Albanian Parade and is a manifestation where Albanians under the leadership of the Albanian Roots organization, danced and singed in Albanian for several hours.



While every year in downtown New York, the Albanian Parade has culminated on the famous 6th Avenue in Manhattan, where American Albanians from all the lands dedicated to Chameria and through the symbols remembered the 75th anniversary of the Cham genocide.

During this event, apart from the speeches by the leaders of this parade by the Albanian Roots Association, Marko Kepi and Nik Beqaj, were the speeches of the Senator Joseph DioGuardi, Sali Bollati and the journalist Marin Mema.

Some of the parades organized in these 10 years are Chameria (2010), Albanians in Montenegro (2011), Ethnic Albania (2012), We Are One (2013), We all have Albanian roots (2014), Ilirida is Albania , Mother Teresa (2016): Arbëreshes (2017): KLA (2018) and Chameria 2019.
