5 Albanian teams have been licensed by UEFA to participate in European competitions
 
 Only 5 teams of the Superior Category have met the licensing criteria for participating in European competitions for the 2019-2020 season.

The Albanian Football Federation has announced the names of these clubs, namely the team of Partizan of Tirana, the Northen team of Kukësi, the coastal team of Teuta, Laçi and the Skënderbeu of Korça.

But the team of Korça has been sentenced to 10-year suspension from continental tournaments, and is now awaiting the final decision by the CAS (Court of Arbitration) in Lausanne.

With this decision of the Albanian Football Federation (AFF) is completed the framework of the Albanian teams that will participate in the European competitions. Partizani in the Champions League, while Kukes, Teuta and Laçi in the Europa League.

Meanwhile the teams that did not meet the criteria due to financial problems are Tirana, Flamurtari, Luftëtari and Kastrioti, who will undergo a monitoring by the AFF every 3 months.
