Peaceful protest in Albania; Lulzim Basha: Freedom or Death!
The protest of 25 May in Tirana before Government's Building
In Albania, the Saturday protests of the Opposition took place peacefully, except for a few minutes of tension at the Parliament, where protesters stopped after their stay in front of the Government building. While the previous manifestations were dominated by Molotov and tear gas at the headquarters of the Government, today it was characterised  mostly by choreographic elements. Initially, with protesters carrying in their hands banners with the inscription Rama IK (Rama Go), which was then filled with fake money, symbolising the Government corruption.

The messages of the Opposition leader in his speech were the same as those that have been the essence of all the opposition stance during these three months since she left of the parliament. "This battle of today is for Albania, this battle of today is for Europe. The Albanian people, the European people in this square and everywhere are determined for political solution. This happens only through the removal of the man (Implying Mr. Rama) who caused the plunder of the democracy," said Mr. Basha.

According to Basha, the citizens with the manifesto of today gave the message that now "is the chance for the political solution of the crisis. Woe is he who reads this as a sign of weakness, because we are stronger than ever. Freedom or Death! Democracy or death! Let this be the prelude to happiness in solving this crisis, through the dictates of Europe's norms and principles. Without any compromise on Euro-Atlantic principles and norms. Let's be the prelude to the political solution to open the way to Albania like all Europe."

In the speech held at the close of the protest, in front of the Democratic Party headquarters, Mr. Basha was more direct when he said that "today's message is the clear message to our friends and foes and to the opponents and enemies of democracy that we are ready to sacrifice everything for the free of the vote, being a people of Europe, and we will never accept the anti-European despotism of a bandit government that has hijacked the country, seized the justice, and blocked the Albania's path to Europe..."
