The "Violence" against the referee in the Kamza-Laçi football match has brought the boycott of the Albanian Football Championship by the referees.

Because of the violence, a round table was held today among the Albanian Football Federation (AFF) and the Albanian Government.

The main requirement was the returning back the police to the stadiums and the change on the law on sport.

Also, a primary requirement will be for those who exercise violence to get punished, constituting a criminal offense.

The Prime Minister, Edi Rama, also attended this round table.

He said:

The violence at the stadiums can not be tolerated anymore. State Police and AFF, 'do not leave the ball to each other but cooperate'. The return of the police to stadiums would require the amendment of the law and a special decision...a big concern is related to sports premises. There are plenty of stadiums that do not have the minimum security parameters. We should jointly guarantee the cameras monitoring of all the stadiums. The technology gives us the opportunity. We will immediately intervene in the Penal Code. The crossing of the white lines of the stadium and entering the pitch will be sentenced to 3 years in prison."
