Two Albanian caught in Chiasso with stolen jewellery

 The Swiss Public Ministry, Cantonal Police and Border Guards report that on 18 December 2018, a 41-year-old and a 30-year-old man were arrested, both Albanian citizens, resident in Albania.

The two men, who were on board of a rental car with Ticino licence plates, were stopped by Border Guard  shortly after the 13 kilometers inside Switzerland by Italian border in via Favre in Chiasso, local media writes.

A 40-year-old was suspended of entering into Switzerland and is identified with a counterfeit Italian identity card. They are suspected of having stolen in some Ticino's homes in past few weeks.

The control of their vehicle by the specialists of Border Guards made possible find hidden in a bag about 350 grams of jewellery as well as rubber gloves.

The assumptions of offences against the 30-year-old are for theft, damage, domicile and reception violation, while for the 41st year of theft, damage, domicile violation, confiscation, certificate of falsification and entry, departure or stay illegal.

The investigation is coordinated by the public prosecutor Zaccaria Akbas.
