Kosovo and Austria sign four agreements on projects for drinking water and sewage treatment

 In the framework of the soft loan program with the Government of Austria, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, Finance Minister Bedri Hamza, together with representatives of Unicredit and Raiffeisen Banks acting on behalf of the Government of Austria, signed today four loan agreements to finance projects for:

- Construction of the Water Supply Scheme in the Municipality of Ferizaj, the value of the 5.125 million euro agreement;

- Construction of the Water Supply Scheme in the Municipality of Gracanica, the value of the agreement goes to 5,115,108 million euros;

- Construction of the Water Supply Scheme in the Municipality of Istog, 5,094,246 million euros, and

- "Wastewater treatment in the municipality of Shtime" the value of the agreement is 2.385 million euros.

"During the signing ceremony, Minister Hamza stressed the importance of signing these agreements to improve the lives of citizens of the beneficiary municipalities.

Minister Hamza once again expressed the willingness of the Ministry of Finance to provide funding for similar projects of benefit to the citizens of Kosovo, both at the central or local level," the media announcement said.

On the other hand, the representatives of the two Banks thanked Minister Hamza for the contribution given to the successful conclusion of the negotiations for the finalization of these agreements, emphasizing the commitment that these projects be implemented as soon as possible by the four beneficiary municipalities.

It is worth mentioning that a month ago benefited also the municipality of Podujeva from this program.
