UNESCO Ambassador Darko Tanaskovic declared that he resigns from this post and that his decision is irreversible.
Announcing this, the Belgrade newspaper "special novosti" says that Tanaskovic has twice prevented Kosovo's efforts to enter UNESCO."The reasons that composed my request for resignation from Serbia's permanent representative to UNESCO are of a private nature. I think that just this is important right now, and I do not think it's about the topic that would open any dilemmas, especially in the public, "Tanaskovic is quoted as saying.
He added that his collaborators in UNESCO are real professionals and nice people.
