Doko has been in Greece for years and has been activated with the Panathinaikos youth team, and yesterday he became a professional in this team. He is not an unknown name for Albania and above all for the U21 national coach, Erjon Bogdani, who has gathered him several times in his team but has never given him the opportunity to play. Now that Doko has a Greek passport, he can choose to play for the Greeks, despite his great desire to represent Albania in the future.

The news was also confirmed by the manager, Angielos Veizi, who has the rights of the teenager Igli Doko.

"From this moment he has become a professional in Panathinaikos. He signed for two years with Panathinaikos and has been in this team for ten years. He has suffered much in Greece in his childhood," Veizi said.

"In May he was gathered by Albania's U-19, but Bogdani left him out of list for European matches. He can play with the Greek national team, but he wants only Albania. Greece wanted him even earlier, but there were no documents. Now that he got the passport, it's easy and it's up to him to choose for what team he wants to play. Igli only prefers Albania and he has said this to me several times," said his manager.
