Sources from the prosecution announced that the operation is part of an investigation launched since the end of last year on the basis of information received from the operating route and through secret services. A case that has caused a political storm in the country, as in the interceptions of suspected traffickers there is sometimes mentioned the name of former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri, who turns out to be a cousin with Habilaj. According to sources from the Prosecutor's Office, the operation in Babica came after the meeting that General Prosecutor Adriatik Llalla had two days ago with the director of the Albanian Intelligence Service Visho Ajazi Lika and the meeting that he held two days ago with Serious Crimes Prosecutors .

During the operation, some people have been arrested, but there is not yet a full official version. General Police Director Haki Cako said today that the operation is still in progress.
