Bozhidar Dimitrov: There are no Macedonians in Western Macedonia, they are Albanians

Professor Bozidar Dimitrov is a Bulgarian historian and Director of Bulgaria's National Historical Museum. He is kown in Macedonia as a controversial figure who is often part of the various provocations in relations between the two countries.

There is no Macedonian language for him, because there it is written in Bulgarian dialect. He is also known for his view over Balkan peoples, for him Kosovo is Albanian, Serbia has Republika Srpska, Greece has Cyprus, and Bulgaria has Macedonia.

In an interview to Sofia's "Focus" news agency, he spoke of Prime Minister Zoran Zaev's visit to Bulgaria, the agreement on good neighborly relations, and the reactions thereafter.

For Dimitrov, Macedonia and Bulgaria "have not fired one single bullet with each other." He says that "VMRO was not the organization of Macedonia, but the organization of Bulgarians in Macedonia ...", and he also says that "in Eastern Macedonia Bulgarians are preserved" whereas in "Western Macedonia there is not - they are Albanians."/Oculus News
