In the framework of his official visit to Montenegro, the Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Ilir Meta was received by the President of Montenegro, Filip Vujanovic, who expressed gratitude for the continued support of Albania and in particular about the ratification of the protocol of Montenegro's accession to the North Atlantic Treaty by Albanian Parliament on June 23.
Speaker of Parliament and President Vujanovic pointed out that the relations between Albania and Montenegro are excellent and this serves as a model for the entire region.
In this context, the cooperation between the two parliaments is very important and should focus on the promotion of Euro-Atlantic integration processes and in support of the two governments to expand mutual economic and trade exchanges.During the meeting with President of Montenegro, Filip Vujanovic, Meta touched the issue of the Albanian national minority in Montenegro.
According to Meta, concrete solutions must be found for those remaining issues that concerns the Albanian minority and that should serve in further strengthening Albania-Montenegro relations.
