Mother Teresa to be consecrated on September 4


 Mother Teresa will be consecrated on Sunday, September 4, 2016. 

Pope Francis signed a special decree on Tuesday for the Albanian humanitarian, 19 years after she died. 

The ceremony will be held in St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican. In this case the date September 4 will be marked on the Apostle calendar as the day of the Albanian Sanctuary Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

On 17 December last year Papa Francesco signed a decree recognizing the miracle performed by Mother Teresa about the full recovery from a brain tumor of a believer from the diocese of Santos, in San Paolo, Brazil. On October 19, 2003 Pope John Paul II declared beatified Mother Teresa under the rules of canonical law, her feast is celebrated annually on September 5, the day of her birth.

The news of the signing of the decree to Mother Teresa by Pope comes at the same time when the Holy Father, especially his visit of 21st September 2014 in Albania is being honored by Albanian authorities with the placement of his monument near to the Bell of Peace in Tirana, in front of the pyramid of the dictator Enver Hoxha at center Tirana.

"The sanctity of Mother Teresa is more than deserved. Papa Fançesku stepped on a land of martyrs two years ago by blessing our country," said President Bujar Nishani in his statement.
