28 kg heroin seized in Montenegro, 2 Albanias arrested

Personal objects of arrested Albanians seized by Montenegrin Police

 A quantity of 28 kg of heroin is seized by Montenegrin Police customs at Debeli Brijeg Albania-Montenegro border crossing  and 2 Albanians are handcuffed by Montenegrin police.

The news was announced by the Montenegrin newspaper Vijesti that referring to the official announcement says police arrested two Albanians, Emilian Arifi 36, and Andi Methane 29.

According to Montenegrin Police, 2 Albanians tried to smuggle heroin across the border with Croatia. The value of heroin seized by Police after mixing with other substances and repackaging is worth of over two million euros.

Montenegrin police are investigating how the drugs entered in Montenegro while allegedly 2 Albanians have managed to enter through border checkpoint of Albania to Montenegro and then to continue to Croatia and from there to the markets of EU countries.
