Premier Edi Rama met President Bujar Nishani to discuss about the situation created in the Bank of Albania, after the arrest of Governor Ardian Fullani.
"They think is very important to ensure a more sustainable continuation of the Bank of Albania, while in any further step towards normalization, we have to keep in mind, the strengthening of the independence of the institution, and the guarantee to have the highest standards of professionalism in the Bank of Albania ", reads the statement from the Prime Minister's office.
The government's press office does not say where and when the meeting was held. It comes a day after the decision of the Supervisory Board to remove Ardian Fullani from the post of Governor, after he was arrested.
