The incident occurred at the “MB Carcente” car dealership in the early hours of April 4, 2026. Milot Berisha, co-owner of the dealership, received a notification from a Tesla parked outside the garage at approximately 01:37. Checking the live camera feed, he saw unidentified individuals attempting to break into a vehicle and subsequently entering the dealership premises.

“People were moving inside,” Berisha reported, immediately alerting local police and rushing to the scene. By the time he arrived, he heard the unmistakable sound of the Porsche driving away. The stolen vehicle is a distinctive model with approximately 500 horsepower, noted for its unique color.

Lucerne police quickly coordinated with authorities in the Aargau canton, leading to the arrest of three suspects in Dintikon AG. Official reports indicate the suspects are two Russian nationals and one French national, aged between 18 and 21, all without a residence in Switzerland. Authorities suspect the perpetrators gained access by breaking a front window and opening the garage door from inside. Initially, the thieves may have targeted two Lamborghini vehicles, as parts were found open in search of keys, but ultimately took the Porsche whose key was left in the garage.

To escape, the thieves reportedly used a van to move a Tesla blocking the exit and fled with the stolen Porsche. The vehicle has since been recovered by police, although the total damage to the dealership has not yet been fully assessed. Berisha expressed relief over the arrests, noting that the business, including material damages, is fully insured.

“This is just a relief that they were caught,” Berisha stated, highlighting a recent increase in luxury car thefts across Switzerland. The incident underscores ongoing security challenges for high-value vehicles in the region, with Albania and Kosovo nationals often cited among the expatriate business community closely monitoring these risks.
