The Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office (SPAK) has officially denied reports claiming that the mobile phone of the Director General of the State Police, Ilir Proda, was seized in connection with ongoing investigations into the National Agency for Information Society (AKSHI).
In an official response issued under the transparency program, SPAK clarified that no such procedural action has taken place. According to the institution, the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH) has not seized the phone of the head of the State Police.
“In response to your request, we inform you that the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH) has not seized the mobile phone of the Director of the State Police,” SPAK stated in its official reply.
The clarification follows reports that circulated in December of last year, which linked the State Police Director’s name to investigations being conducted by SPAK involving AKSHI.
SPAK did not provide further details on the progress of the investigations, stressing that all procedural actions are carried out in full compliance with the law and strictly within the framework of concrete investigative cases.
