Albania U-15 Defeats Malta 3-2 in Friendly Match at the “Home of Football

Albania’s U-15 national football team earned a well-deserved 3-2 victory against Malta in the second friendly match played within two days at the “Home of Football” in Tirana. After losing 2-1 in the first encounter, the young Red and Blacks showed strong character and bounced back with an impressive performance.

Head coach Gent Mahmuti lined up his team with: Lionel Ademi (GK), Denian Avdylaj (C), Kevin Muharremi, Romeo Hazizaj, Kevin Plepi, Enea Taci, Deni Duka, Gean Ramadani, Satjago Perkola, Samuel Prendi, and Noel Lleshi.

The match started perfectly for Albania, as Kevin Plepi opened the scoring in the 5th minute, taking advantage of confusion inside the Maltese box. Just ten minutes later, Samuel Prendi doubled the lead after an assist from Deni Duka, sending the ball past the opposing goalkeeper.

With Albania dominating, the first half ended 2-0 in their favor.

In the second half, Malta pulled one back in the 63rd minute, but Albania’s captain Denian Avdylaj restored the two-goal cushion in the 80th minute. After his first attempt was blocked, Avdylaj stayed alert and fired again to make it 3-1.

Despite Malta scoring again in the 86th minute, the final whistle confirmed a 3-2 triumph for Albania U-15.

This victory highlights the team’s determination and progress under coach Mahmuti, as the young talents continue to gain valuable international experience.
