Swiss Police Arrest Albanian Tourist Over Cocaine Trafficking

The suspect, who entered the country as a tourist, is alleged to be part of a drug distribution network operating in Bellinzona. A search of his temporary residence uncovered dozens of ready-for-sale cocaine doses, about 1,000 Swiss francs, and several hundred euros in cash, believed to be proceeds of criminal activity.

Police said the arrest was carried out on Monday following operational intelligence. The man is also facing charges of money laundering and violations of the Swiss Federal Law on Foreign Nationals.

A judge has confirmed his detention under restrictive measures. Investigations to identify other members of the network are ongoing.
