This squad includes two notable newcomers. Adi Kurti, defender of Hellas Verona, and Alain Taho, goalkeeper of Inter, have received their first call-ups to the U-21 side. Both players have previously represented Albania with impressive performances across youth levels (U-15, U-16, U-17, and U-19), earning the chance to now join the U-21 national team.

Alongside these fresh additions, Bushi has also called up six players currently active in Albania’s domestic leagues, coming from clubs competing in the Kategoria e Parë and the Abissnet Superiore. This reflects the coach’s ongoing effort to integrate local talent with those playing abroad.

The U-21 national team will begin its training camp on August 31, with the first session planned for the afternoon.

The two friendlies will provide valuable preparation for Albania’s young talents:

  • Albania U-21 vs. Germany U-21 – September 5, 18:00 CET, at Elbasan Arena in Elbasan.

  • Switzerland U-21 vs. Albania U-21 – September 8, 18:30 CET, at Brügglifeld Stadium in Aarau.

These matches are expected to serve as important tests for Bushi’s squad, offering a chance to evaluate both the new faces and the overall progress of the team against top European opposition.
