The “Trojet e Arbrit” Association strongly condemned the act, describing it as an “ugly and deliberate attack against the brightest figure of our national history.” Nue Oroshi, chairman of the association, called on security and justice institutions via a Facebook post to take immediate action to identify and punish those responsible.

“This is an unacceptable act, a deliberate provocation that undermines not only the figure of Skanderbeg but also our national pride,” Oroshi declared.

The Prizren Regional Police announced that they are currently verifying the situation on the ground and will act in accordance with the Prosecutor’s Office’s guidelines. They also noted that the area where the statue stands is equipped with security cameras, which are expected to help identify the perpetrators.

This incident has sparked concern among citizens and national organizations, highlighting the need for heightened protection of Kosovo’s cultural and historical symbols.
