The journalist of Kosovar origin living in Sweden, Diamant Salihu, has been nominated for the prestigious "Wallenberg 2023" award. The news was announced through a Facebook post by the Embassy of Kosovo in Stockholm.
This award is given by the "Raoul Wallenberg" Academy. Raoul Wallenberg was a Swedish architect, diplomat, and humanitarian who saved thousands of Jews in Hungary during the Holocaust and subsequent phases of World War II.
The Wallenberg Prize is awarded to individuals, organizations, and communities whose courage, selflessness, and success in the face of great difficulties exemplify the values for which Raoul Wallenberg stood and fought.
