How Martinaj and Duka's relationship with the gambling industry turned into retaliation

 After three years on the run, Leonard Duka, the head of the "Duka" clan, has been apprehended in Belgium. In 2019, Duka was declared wanted on an international scale for the slaying of former officer Santiago Malko.

 

Ervis Martinaj is a well-known foe of Leonard Duka. Martinaj and the "Duka" family had strong disagreements with each other in the casino business, despite the fact that they were once close friends. Both parties waged a war of vengeance after the partnership ended.

Martinaj was the one who kidnapped and abused Duka's father. After Leonard tried to kill Martinaj, he killed Santiago Malka, Martinaj's right-hand man.

In 2019, Leonard Duka devised a strategy to eliminate Ervis Martinaj physically, and he needed all of his movements to carry it out.

Duka decided to recruit additional individuals who could assist him in carrying out the plan in order to obtain this information. The Duka was provided with all of Martinaj's movements by the citizen N.SH, who worked in a Tirana tourism agency.

Information about Martinaj, starting flights to EU countries and down to the details, the citizen together with her fiance Davison Sejanaj, gave to the Duka and was paid the sum of 30 thousand euros.

"From the acts that occurred in the prosecutor's file, it appears that: Citizen Davison Serjani is engaged to citizen N.Sh. The latter worked in a travel agency on "Myslym Shyri" street, where she sold travel tickets, tourist packages, hotel accommodations abroad, etc. Daut Elmazi is a cousin of the citizen Davison Serjani.

It also turned out that citizen Ardjan Ahmeti and citizen Daut Elmazi know each other and are cousins. Yes, according to the acts and declarations, it turned out that the three defendants have acquaintance with each other, mainly acquaintance secured through the citizen Daut Elmazi as a common contact. From the statements of the citizen N.Sh., it has emerged that since the citizen Daut Elmazi, she and her fiance Davisoni have established contacts with the citizens Leonard Duka and Fatmir Hyseni (known by the nickname "Doge" or "Dogja".

These two people planned to kill the citizen Ervis Martinaj physically. In order to plan the murder, you needed information from the defendants about the target Martinaj's whereabouts abroad. According to the investigation file, "the defendant admitted in the statements that in exchange for the information, they would receive a monetary reward."

The Duke decided to execute Santiago Malko, his right-hand man, after the plan to eliminate Ervis Martinaj failed.

Since August 2022, when he was reported missing by his family, Ervis Martinaj has been missing. Martinaj's contacts were lost as a result of a string of murders against his group, one of which also killed Martinaj's cousin Brilanti.
