8 Albanians who supplied Ndrangheta with marijuana and hashish
The place where the trial against Ndrangheta is taking place
 The mega process against the Calabrian mafia "Ndrangheta" has started today in Lamezia Terme of Calabria, Italy, in a giant high-security hall with an area of 3300 square meters. This is considered to be the largest organized crime trial in Italy in more than 30 years.

 Out of the 325 people accused of being mobsters and collaborators, 8 are Albanians, who were identified as:

-Orkind Cobaj born in Albania on 08/20/1992 and declared wanted;
-Ydaj Hoxhaj, born in Albania on 04/01/1991;
-Robert Lazaj born in Vlora on 29/08/1972;
-Alfred Lucaj born in Albania on 26/05/1979;
-Lulezim Shkurtaj born in Albania on 27/05/1987;
-Eduart Tahiraj known as Dhimitër Lutaj, born in Albania on 22/10/1971;
-Floriand Tahiraj born in Vlora on 22/02/1983;
-Lavdosh Serani born in Albania on 01/06/1975.

The mega process is being led by Catanzaro Anti-Mafia Prosecutor Nicola Grateri, while all the accused will be defended by an "army" of 600 lawyers. It is learned that the role of the Albanians was to supply ‘Ndrangheta’ with marijuana and hashish coming from Albania and passing through the port of Bari.

The trafficking took place through a group of Albanian traffickers based in northern Italy, most of them in the Tuscany region.

We remind that the mega process is the result of the operation codenamed Rinascita Scott, which was executed in December 2019 after several years of investigation by the Antimafia.
