Vucic briefs Patriarch Irinej Gavrilovic on dialogue with Kosovo

 Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Serbian Orthodox Church Patriarch Irinej Gavrilovic on Monday.

In a statement issued by the Serbian Presidency, broadcast by the Balkan Service of Radio Free Europe, Vucic briefed the patriarch on talks with Kosovo, which took place earlier this month in Washington and Brussels, as well as his talks with world leaders.

Vuicic and Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, signed an agreement on September 4, at the White House, for the normalization of economic relations between the two countries.

The agreement was signed in the presence of US President Donald Trump.

After the meeting in Washington, Hoti and Vucic met on September 7 in Brussels, where they announced that they had opened discussions on the Association of Serb-majority municipalities in Kosovo, as well as property and financial issues.

According to the announcement of the Serbian Presidency, Vucic and Irinej also discussed the position of the Serb people in Kosovo, Montenegro, Croatia, Republika Srpska and other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
