4 human traffickers arrested in Tirana, including a Syrian and a Moroccan

 Four people have been arrested for human trafficking in Tirana, including two non-Albanians.

These persons are accused of collaborating with each other to transport illegal immigrants from the Korça area to Tirana and then to Montenegro, in order to for the final destination to the EU countries in exchange for certain payments, according to Albanian Police.

Meanwhile, three Turkish citizens have been prosecuted for illegal border crossing.

As part of the police operation codenamed "BACKLASH", were arrested these citizens in flagrante delicto:
- K. D., 32 years old, resident of Kamza, Tirana;
- A. M., 35 years old, resident in Tirana;
- E. E., 22 years old, with Syrian citizenship and nationality;
- A. I., 25 years old, with Moroccan citizenship and nationality;

The citizens E.E. and A.I. allegedly had the role of organizer in this trafficking scheme, coordinating with other persons of Syrian nationality in Greece and Syria, where through the applications "Whatsapp", "Messenger" etc., coordinated the movement of immigrants from Greece to Albania, by engaging Albanian citizens arrested in this scheme, who played the role of the transporter, translator, and person who often withdrew money transferred through money transfer agencies.

As part of this operation, a vehicle and 4 mobile phones were seized.

The procedural materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance in Tirana for further investigative actions, for the criminal offenses "Assistance for illegal border crossing" and "Illegal border crossing, committed in collaboration".
