Albanian clandestine by truck from Belgium to England, 13 arrested in 5 countries

 
 A group of Albanian traffickers carrying out the transport of Albanians from Belgium to the UK is hit. Investigations into the group in question, according to media reports, have been launched by the police in July 2018.

Initial investigations showed that Albanian clandestine had been shipped from Albania to Belgium, then lodged in hotels awaiting their departure for the United Kingdom by truck. The instructions for the transport of clandestine came from the United Kingdom, where the heads of this network were located.

On December 19, 2019, Belgian investigators, assisted by their Antwerp, Halle-Vilvoorde and Mons colleagues, intervened at seven different addresses simultaneously.

Seven suspects of Albanian nationality were arrested during the operation. Two people were arrested on drug trafficking charges. During the operation, the investigators discovered cocaine, scales, and a calculator.

In collaboration with British police, the head of the organization was arrested at the same time in the UK. Five other members of the organization, two suspects in the UK, one suspect in Greece, one suspect in Italy and one suspect in Montenegro were also arrested abroad. They are expected to be extradited to Belgium soon.
