Israel arrests Palestinian state television employees

Israeli forces have arrested five people, including four employees of Palestine State Television in the occupied East Jerusalem, reports Anadolu Agency.

According to information obtained from local sources, Israeli forces raided this morning the area where the "Good Morning Quds" program was being broadcasted on Palestine TV, in the Olive Mountain region of Eastern Jerusalem.

During the raids, the program director, cameraman and guest on the program were arrested, while television devices were also seized.

Israeli forces have also arrested a Palestinian TV journalist and cameraman in the Old City of Eastern Jerusalem.

On the other hand the Palestinian Presidency condemned the arrest of the Palestinian TV employees by Israeli forces.

The announcement drew attention that steps such as "recognizing Quds as the capital of Israel" by the US have encouraged similar violations.

Israeli forces raided the Palestinian TV office in Eastern Jerusalem on November 20, where, under the direction of Israeli Public Security Minister Gila Erdan, the office was closed for six months.
