Euronews: Albania on top of the list regarding the renewable energy
Although a non-EU member country, Albania's position on the Adriatic coast has allowed it to have advantages over the renewable energy, as announced by the well-known European news network Euronews.

"For the first time since the Victorian era, Great Britain is being supplied with more electricity with zero environmental pollution than with hydrocarbon-powered energy. About 18% comes from nuclear energy, 24% from renewable sources like wind, solar and hydropower." writes Euronews.

But which countries lead and are doing the best for renewable energy?

NORWAY

Since 1800, Norway has used the hydropower plants. Now, 98% of its energy is produced by renewable sources.

SWEDEN

Sweden is the only EU country where more than 50% of the energy comes from renewable sources.

ALBANIA

Although a non-EU member country, Albania's position on the Adriatic coast has allowed it to have advantages in renewable energy.

Almost 100% of the energy produced in Albania comes from hydro sources. But academics say the country uses only one-third of its potential for clean energy because its location near the seashore provides the ideal position to utilize wind energy and avoid dependence on imports.

DENMARK

It is the world leader in wind power. It is currently building a giant wind energy park.
