Serbian prisoner escaped in Kukës, 6 citizens arrested including two officers
Albanian Police vehicles in Kukës

 Kukes police have arrested 6 people, including two police officers, since yesterday they have helped in cooperation with each other the Serbian citizen S.V., 53, resident of Mirocka, to leave Albania. The Serbian was serving the misure of house arrest and was kept under surveillance in a private environment in Kukës.

The structures of the Police Commissariat of Kukes in cooperation with the Internal Control Service Section under the direction of the Kukës District Prosecution, arrested these 6 citizens:

- K.M., 38, resident in Pobreg, Kukës;

- J.D., 23, resident in Rijeka, Croatia;

- R.K., 46, resident in Vushtrri, Kosovo;

- F.T., 26, resident in Pristina, Kosovo;

- S.S., 53, resident in Bushtricë, Kukës, police officer of the General Patrol at the Police Commissariat of Kukës;

- Jr., 43, resident in Kukës, police officer of the General Patrol at the Kukes Police Commissariat.

The arrests of the citizens KM., J.D., R.K. and F.T. are made after January 1, 2019, in cooperation with each other, they are suspected of helping the Serbian citizen to leave Albania.

The arrest of the two police officers is made because during the time they were on duty by keeping under surveillance the Serbian citizen, they have allowed his meeting with his relatives without proper authorization, allowing the removal of the arrestees from the place of compulsory residence.

The materials passed to the Prosecutor's Office of the First Instance Court of Kukes for the criminal offenses "Assistance to a prisoner to escape, carried out in cooperation", "The prisoners removal from the place of residence" and "Abuse of office".
