"There can be no sustainable economic development without Kosovo's security and energy independence, as it can not have a good quality of life without energy diversity and clean energy. This is and should be a future priority for Kosovo, both in the short to the long term, as the preservation of the environment and the use of renewable sources of energy constitute a secure energy future for the country," said Hoxhaj in his speech addressed to the present.

Deputy Prime Minister Hoxhaj said that the very fact that this wind energy park has been opened so close to the border with Serbia shows how important it is for the country to conclude the state building of Kosovo by reaching the final agreement with the neighboring state which guarantees mutual recognition and membership of Kosovo in UN.

"This should be done in order to open a new chapter of building a modern society."
