At around 5:30 pm, two motorcyclists followed the "Ford Explorer" of the Albanian and shot on him from the passenger window.

The media say there were two other people of Albanian descent along with the injured inside the car, who did not get hurt, but the names are not disclosed.

"As soon as the incident happened, the injured was taken to the hospital and his condition was stable," said Romel Navarrete, the Police chief of Model District of Ecuador.
