In a disturbing incident that has shocked fans and onlookers, Eleni Foureira, the popular singer of Albanian origin who represented Cyprus at Eurovision 2018 with her hit song "Fuego," was harassed live on stage during a concert last night. The perpetrator was identified as the son of renowned Greek billionaire Evangelos Marinakis.

The incident occurred while Foureira was performing her song "Fotia" in front of a live audience. Videos that have surfaced on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, show Marinakis' son grabbing Foureira inappropriately. Despite her efforts to continue her performance, she visibly struggled to move away from him. The situation further escalated when Marinakis' friends in the audience began throwing champagne at her.

Foureira eventually left the stage, only to return after about 30 seconds. At this point, Marinakis’ son took to the microphone and, speaking in English, claimed that Eleni’s husband was his brother, implying a close relationship between them. He then jumped back into the audience, leaving the singer and the audience in shock.

Evangelos Marinakis, the father of the perpetrator, is a prominent figure in Greece, known for his ownership of the football clubs Olympiacos and Nottingham Forest, as well as Greek TV networks Mega Channel and One Channel. This extensive media influence is likely why there has been little to no coverage of the incident in the Greek media. Given Marinakis' powerful hold over these organizations, it seems improbable that this harassing act by his son will be reported locally.

The lack of media coverage in Greece contrasts sharply with the outrage and concern expressed by Foureira's fans and the broader public online. Many are calling for accountability and justice, emphasizing that such behavior should not be tolerated, regardless of one's social or economic status.

Eleni Foureira has not yet publicly commented on the incident, but the videos and eyewitness accounts have sparked a significant conversation about the misuse of power and the importance of protecting performers from harassment. Fans and supporters around the world are rallying behind her, demanding action against those responsible and urging media outlets to break their silence on the matter.

As the story continues to unfold, it remains to be seen whether there will be any repercussions for Marinakis' son or if the incident will be addressed by Greek authorities. In the meantime, Foureira's bravery in handling the situation on stage has only reinforced her reputation as a resilient and dedicated performer.
