Another speedboat filled of cannabis was seized in Albania in the early hours of today's morning by the Italian Coast Guard.
About 300 kg of cannabis were sequestered the two Albanians on board are arrested.The Italian coastguard identified a speedboat with a suspended cargo on board, near the Le Cesine beach at the Vernole commune of Lecce.
The two Albanians as just 'smelled' the chasing by the Italian Coast Guard have increased the speed by arriving at the seaside, where they have abandoned the floating vehicle and walked away.
While the Lecce Forestry Police managed to arrest the two Albanians hiding in the natural park of Le Cesine.
The Coast Guard of the Italian Finance has sequenced 294 kg of marijuana and 16 kg of hashish with a market value of over 3 million euros.
The two Albanian are charge of international drug traffic.
Italian police say that from January 2018 to today have been seized 17 tons of marijuana, 18 vessels used for drug transport and 42 Albanians.
