Police Officer arrested for documents forgery in Albania

 A police officer has been banned for forgery in biometric passport procedures by adding in the list a person with counterfeit data.

In document no. 2033 Prot., Dated 08.08.19.2016, the Police Commissariat of Malësi e Madhe has forwarded to the Municipality of Koplik 12 practices of persons applying for biometric passports.

The investigation team revealed that the police officer Faik Ujkaj in the letter he has submitted to the Municipality of Koplik, added in a handwritten way the name of Admir Piranaj, and the practice of the latter.

According to the relevant expertise act, it resulted that the name added in the memo and the logs in the application form for the provision of a biometric passport on behalf of the citizen Admir Piranaj were written by the suspect Faik Ujkaj, as well as the stamps and police commissariat of Malësi e Madhe and the signature of the chief of the police station on the form of a biometric passport is falsified.
