Made in Albania products in 610 Diaspora Restaurants all over the World

  About 610 Diaspora restaurants of Albanian owners or managed by Albanians are evidenced by diplomatic representations to be available to exporters and agribusiness associations in Albania. The purpose of this initiative in the framework of economic diplomacy is to increase the export potential. Some products such as apple juice from Peshkopia, beer "Korça" and others have already touched the world markets.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Europe and Foreign Affairs organized the promotion event of Albanian production towards the Diaspora. Minister Peleshi said that the Albanian agriculture has made progress, especially in exports.

In total, 14% or more exports are increased. Nonetheless, exports remain difficult challenges, which require an inter-ministerial co-operation.

For this reason, he continued, this database will be available to Albanian producers, to make their access to European markets easier. Minister Peleshi suggested that in parallel with this initiative, we are working to increase quality, to increase the marching, to strengthen all the elements that help a product to be sold better in the market. We are building a network of incubators, ie small workshops, in rural areas for quality production and typical product standards, we are adopting, drafting draft laws on typical products, in line with EU legislation. Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, said that after the phase of identifying these 610 restaurants, now will be made the channeling of all the energies that these restaurants have to be able to make part of their assortments Albanian products.

"The second step of this project will be the channeling of all energies so that from these 610 Albanian restaurants and businesses we can have a part of Albanian products that can be exported to European and North American markets. Another important element related to the promotion or branding of Albanian products is closely linked to the system of incentives offered by the Albanian government, various agencies or the EU itself," said Minister Bushati.

Soon this project will be finalized with an application that will be called "Albanian Flavors", where Albanian products will be presented.
