Nurse beaten and threatened in Tirana Hospital
Tirana University Hospital

In the early morning hours of yesterday, one of the nurses in the Tirana University Hospital (QSUT) is beaten and threatened by the family member of one of the patients. The nurse with the initials M.L, an employee of this hospital, went in conflict with the patient's family member the time of the shift.

"The conflict occurred in the early hours of the morning during the shift of tours where at one point a family entered the central reanimation facilities at the QSUT (which is not permissible) and went to the room of the nurse M.L., and threatened and beaten the nurse" says Elson Jaçaj, head of the Albanian Nurses Association. According to the latter, the reasons for the conflict were trivial, as the family wanted to stay in the patient's room and asked the nurse for the reason of the lack of medication.

Many patients have been complaining recently about hospitals in Tirana, they say that doctors and nurses, even sanitary employees are corrupt and if you do not give them money, they does not give a reasonalbe service to the sick.
