Izmir Smajlaj wins Gold medal in Small European States Championship in Long Jump


 The Albanian athlete Izmir Smajlaj is declared the Champion of Europe for Small Countries in Long Jump, in a competition held in Liechtenstein involving 18 countries.

Smajlaj jumped 7.90 meter, at the best test, while losing the 8.20 meter test because of a milimetrc foul.


This is another triumph for the Albanian sportswoman, after being declared the European Champion of Long Jump in Serbia last year.
