Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka participated at the international exhibition of Protection and Security of Land and Air in France, "Eurosatory", at the invitation of the Minister of Armed Forces of France, Florence Parly, with whom had a special meeting.
In the exhibition held once in two years, participatet dhe representatives of the military industries of around 140 countries, who present bids and collect requests for services provided in the field of defense.
Meanwhile, during their meeting, Xhacka and her French counterpart Parly reaffirmed the very good relationship between Albania and France, especially in the field of defense, in which the two countries have been cooperating for years.The French company "Nexter" has equipped with a 20mm the Albanian warship Butrinti, which participates in the NATO operations in the Aegean Sea and is currently working to equip this kind of armament the other ships of the Albanian Navy.
Minister Xhacka expressed the interest of the Albanian Armed Forces to cooperate with the French Armed Forces in the field of civil emergencies.
Minister Xhaçka visited the scutes of the exhibition including prestigious companies in the field of military industry such as Lockeed Martin, Nexter and Thales.
