The Agreement: Greece recognise the Albanian driving licenses

 The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, and Foreign Minister of Greece, Nikolaos Kotzias, signed today the agreement on Mutual Recognition of Vehicle License Permissions.

This agreement will create ease of driving vehicles from Albanian citizens living in the neighboring country.

Under this agreement, will not be required by Greek authorities to the Albanians to resume the procedures for obtaining a Greek driving license, which costs from 700 to 1000 Euros for any permit issued in Greece.

When they are in Greece will submit the Albanian driving license in exchange of the the Greek one. In this way, they can also be employed as a vehicle driver in Greece, without any distinction from Greek citizens.

This agreement is reached after intensive meetings between his Greek-Albanian foreign ministers in Crete and Korça.

This decision enters into force following the procedures that the two states will held based on the law of each country and the recently reached agreement.
