Serbia lobbying against Kosovo's membership in Interpol

 Serbia demands that persons who are put under international prosecution by Serbian authorities to return to the Interpol system. Also requests from Interpol member states not to accept Kosovo in this organization.

"As a representative of the Interior Ministry I have requested that all persons who are placed on the international list of prosecution by Serbian judicial authorities are unconditionally returned to the Interpol system," said Serbian Police Director Vladimir Rebic, after talks with President Meng Hongwei and Interpol's Secretary General, Jürgen Stock." reports "B92"

"We will talk to all Interpol members to convince them that eventual membership of Kosovo in Interpol would not be in the interest of Serbia or Interpol." Rebic said.

The Serbian police director stressed that Serbia insists on its territorial integrity and is committed to implementing and respecting international law and regulations.

He said that during talks with President Hongwei and the General Secretary Stock, Serbia's commitment to cooperation with Interpol was emphasized.
