Kosovo MPs asked to remove borders between Kosovo and Albania

The Group of Independent MPs has proceeded a resolution in the Kosovo Assembly asking to open entirely the border checkpoints between Kosovo and Albania.

This was announced by the MP Dardan Mulliqaj through a post on his Facebook account, where he also attached the document.

According to this document it is foreseen to open entirely the checkpoints for the entry / exit of citizens of the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Albania at the border crossing points such as Vërmica, Qafë Prush and Qafe Morinë.

This requirement foresees the removal of the obligation for citizens of both states to travel with ID cards and passports.

"The resolution on the complete opening of the border checkpoints with Albania. Today, on behalf of the Group of Independent Members, I proceeded to the Assembly for the resolution on the full opening of the border points between Kosovo and Albania. There should be no obstacle to free movement of citizens between our two countries." wrote Molliqaj.
