Pope Francis to baptize an Albanian at Easter Night

 Tonight Pope Francis will celebrate Easter Mass, starting at 20.30. Tomorrow, at 10.00 am, Easter Day Mass, followed by the Blessing Urbi et Orbi - Rome of the World, at 12.00.

The Pope will chair tonight, at 20.30, at St. Peter's Basilica, the Mass of the Great Easter Night. The rite begins with the traditional blessing of the new fire, in the basement treble, followed by the procession with the Easter candle and the Exultet, the cheerful cheer, chanting the triumph of the Risen Lord over death and over the darkness of the world.

The Pope, during the Mass of the Night, will baptize eight adults, including an Albanian

On this night, the mother of all sleepless nights, Francis will baptize 8 adults, 3 women and 5 men, between 28 and 52 years old. There are 4 Italians, 1 Albanian, 1 Nigerian, 1 American and 1 Peruvian. During the celebration the believers will pray especially for families, the poor, the suffering, and especially the shepherds, to be thirsty for the salvation of every person.

The Mass of Easter Day and Blessing Urbi et Orbi - Rome of the World

Tomorrow, the Pope will lead the Mass of Easter Day, starting at 10.00 am, at St. Peter's Square. The Gospel will be proclaimed both in Latin and in Greek. During prayers, believers will seek for the Pope and the bishops of the whole Church, the gift of the evangelical sincerity and apostolic passion; there will also be prayers for the regulars, to be joyous witnesses of future realities; and yet, pray for peace, justice, brotherhood all over the world to end rage and disunity.

At 12.00 o'clock, from the Central Loss of the Vatican Basilica, the Holy Father will read the Easter message and give his Apostolic Blessing as well as complete apology in the form set by the Church.
