The Interior Minister of French Gerard Collomb hosted the Deputy Interior Minister Romina Kuko, who was accompanied by the Director of the Department of Public Order and Public Security at the State Police, Gjovalin Loka.
Kuko recognized Collomb with the results achieved so far under the "Force of Law" operation, the progress of the Vetting process in the State Police and the achievements thanks to the measures taken in the fight against illegal migration.Minister Collomb, praised the results achieved by the Interior Ministry and the State Police in the fight against organized crime and expressed the full support of the French government.
During the meeting was discussed about the excellent cooperation between the two countries and joint efforts in support of the close objectives of the European integration process of Albania.
Also, four Albanian officers attached to the French Police were presented in the framework of the fight against organized crime, the prevention of the asylum seeker phenomenon, a better exchange of information, in-depth analysis and improvement of forms of cooperation.
The agreement was signed by the two interior ministers in Tirana during the Collomb visit in mid-December 2017. This paves the way for a new phase of co-operation, built on the work of French and Albanian police teams for criminal groups whose activity is held on both countries.
