Following his arrest, the journalist Klodiana Lala told "News24" and "BalkanWeb" details of the police operation. It is reported that Devi Kasmi three days before being killed suspected of being chased by a person. He even debated with a foreign citizen relating to this fact. This fact has given another detail to the police, thus moving toward the truth of the crime and the capture of the killer.

Police report that the Greek killer entered in Albania a week ago, ang begun immediately the work in chasing Devi Kasmi, and for this work he would get rewarded of about 2,300 euros.

The sources have indicated that the police sequested from the former Special Forces Greek officer  2,000 euros and 50,000 Albanian leks.This is believed to be part of the money given to him as the reward for Kasmi's assassination.
