Luiza Gega ended up in the first place in the Balkan Race of 3000 meters, which was held yesterday in Istanbul, Turkey, grabbing thus the gold at the International Race with Closed Halls, in Istanbul.
The Albanian champion scored the fastest time with 9 minutes and 06 seconds, defeating the other rivals who tried to win the race.A year ago, in Istanbul, the 29-year-old Albanian athlete won the gold medal in the 1500m race with the time 4:06:65, which is also the Albanian national record in this kind of race.
