 Kosovo will provide assistance to Albania with rescue teams relating to the situation created by floods in the country.

In a press release of the Kosovo Interior Ministry it is emphasized that "Albania is facing an emergency situation due to uninterrupted rains and according to their forecasts the situation is getting worse."

"As a result, the Directorate of Civil Emergencies of the Republic of Albania has requested assistance from the Emergency Management Agency / Ministry of Internal Affairs for support in rescue operations with five (5) rescue teams and three (3) experts for the assessment of the situation. The AME Director General, with the prior approval of the Minister of Interior, Flamur Sefaj, decided that today, on December 2, at 6 o'clock, the teams in question will head to the destination," said the announcement.

"The teams are made up of 34 members selected by the Professional Fire and Rescue Units, equipped with the appropriate means for the rescue operations in superficial waters, and this without damaging our domestic response capacity."
