 Finance Minister Bedri Hamza hosted the World Bank Director for the Western Balkans, Linda van Gelder, Director of Operations and Strategy at the World Bank, Mariam Sherman, and World Bank Manager for Kosovo, Marco Mantovanelli.

Hamza informed the World Bank officials about the progress achieved by the Ministry of Finance, the 2017 Budget Review and the 2018 Budget Preparation. He has also spoken on projects for the development of the private sector as a provider of development economic and unemployment reduction in Kosovo, to be implemented in cooperation with the World Bank.

Hamza thanked the World Bank for the support has provided for Kosovo since 1999.

He has shown that the World Bank has provided more than $ 400 million in various aid to Kosovo and has estimated that this aid has greatly contributed to the development of Kosovo in all spheres.

World Bank Director for the Western Balkans, Linda van Gelder, congratulated Minister Hamza on the progress made during this period and expressed the pleasure of launching the Partnership Framework with Kosovo for the period 2017-2021, which will affect the preservation of macroeconomic stability, the elimination of barriers to investment in infrastructure and the creation of a better climate in investments.

According to the Ministry of Finance announcement, both sides have agreed to increase future cooperation for the benefit of Kosovo's institutions and citizens.
