Because of the strict rules, the number of Albanian asylum-seekers in Germany has declined sharply. Moreover, Albania is no longer part the top 10 list with the highest number of asylum seekers.

Only this year, Germany repatriated about 4,500 Albanians and is expected to repatriated about 14,000, as "TCH" reports.

German Ambassador to Tirana, Susanne Schutz, said that the asylum is not a solution.

"This is a process that will take a certain time. I don't know how to tell you the timelines that will suffice for this problem to be solved, but it is important to say that the asylum seeker route in Germany is a wrong way. Because people who will be repatriated to Albania can be punished with a ban of 5 years on entering in Germany. Thus is better to use the legal possibilities to go to Germany as it is through a regular employment contract," Schutz said.
