Albanian-Italian drug band destroyed, 26 arrest warrants by Naples Prosecution

 During the early hours of this morning an international anti-drug police operation is held in Naples and Caserta. This operation made it possible to destroy an Italian-Albanian criminal organization and today have been issued 26 arrest warrants by the Naples Prosecutor's Office.

ATSH reports that the coded operation "SMOKE SNAKE" is performed by the Guardian of Finance of Marcianise and started in June 2016. Since the launch of the investigation of this group until the finalization of the operation there was a real-time exchange of information between the Police of the Albanian State, the Guardia di Finanza and the Italian Police through the offices in Italy and Tirana.

By 2016, 38 kilos of marijuana and 8 kilos of heroin were seized, 500 thousand of euros, 2 apartments, 1 car, 3 companies, 65 bank accounts 18,000 euros in cash. During the early hours of this morning, 21 arrest warrants were executed for 21 citizens; 18 Italians and 3 Albanians. The Albanian citizen with the initials L.C. 36 is arrested today during the operation, while two others were previously arrested in flagrante as part of this operation. E.N. 26 was arrested and was notified of an arrest warrant. E.Sh 39 has been arrested and is also notified.

During the operation, a quantity of heroin is seized, about 1 kilos in Naples. Also during the operation were sequestrated other assets gained from the criminal worth of about a half million of euros. The criminal organization operated in the field of many drugs but mostly in heroin in the area of Naples and Caserta. The operation is ongoing and therefore we can not provide further details..
